THE STORY BEHIND THE CHANGE ZONE

Why We Chase Change

For Darnyl Allen (Coach D), fitness has always been more than physical. It’s been about resilience, about finding the strength to push forward when life pushes back.

He didn’t create The Change Zone to just train bodies. He built it as a place where people could confront their limits and rewrite their stories. A place where every drop of sweat meant something.

The name comes from the sacred spaces Darnyl would train in: whether in parks, garages, or studios. Wherever he coached, it became known as "The Change Zone" - a space of transformation, accountability, and hard-won growth. This was the birth of the Change Over Comfort® Method. A registered trademark, yes. Still more importantly, a mindset that calls you to show up for yourself, especially when it's hard.

This is his passion. This is his purpose.
To guide people through the uncomfortable parts of growth—physically, mentally, and emotionally—so they can become their strongest selves!
